Pics from Mat. Mat drove out and picked up his land sailer
in August. Not a small feat given that he lives in CO. He has been
getting out to Ivanpah every chance he gets since then! - Thanks for the
pics Mat. Glad you are having fun.

7/4/02 - Happy 4th
Sailing at the local community college.

7/1/02 - Afternoon at Borders
An afternoon with the Sirocco at the local Borders Books to
celebrate our appearance in Popular Mechanics. Special thanks to Sirocco
pilots Carl and Rich for coming out to help.

Left Dick Joyce and the Borders gang! Thanks for having
us.
5/22/02 NISC Afternoon Sail
More grass pictures. Spring finally shows up in the
midwest. This is the Northern Illinois Sirocco Club playing around in a
local park.

3/11/02 Some Park Photos - Sunfish Midwinter Natl's
If you wondered if the Sirocco can run on grass here is your
answer. These are just a few photos we did after sailing.
Unfortunately I was doing a lot of coaching for these land sailing neophytes and
did not get many pics. However a lot of people were taking pics and I
should be able to add a few more shortly as they are Emailed in.
Eduardo Gonzalez from Venezuela tries a different kind of
sailing.
ISCA President Jean Bergman on a quick
spin.

3/01/02 Photos from or Trip to the High Desert.
(Some of these are scans of photographs and not quite as
sharp.)
The end of February we decided it was time to get out of town to
test the Sirocco in the ultimate playground. We hopped on a plane to Vegas
with 3 land sailors checked as baggage and flew to Los Vegas. From there
we headed down to Ivanpah and Roach dry lakes on the Nevada / California border
for a few days of hard core land sailing. We were not disappointed.
In the 4 days we sailed in winds from 8 - 18 mph. It was also nice to sail
in an area where we could run for MILES without stopping or turning. I
hope to be able to organize an Sirocco rally out there in the next year.
The sailing was excellent.
Days 1 and 2 - Ivanpah

Day 3 - Roach
(To get some better film, we decided to head to Roach where
we could actually drive out onto the lake bed to do some filming. We set
up the full suspension Sirocco since the lake bed is quite rough in spots.
These shots are all taken from the car.)

01/21/02 Photos of Jack and Cole Young at El Mirage Dry
Lake
Jack and his son Cole Young had prototype 3 out at El Mirage in
CA over the weekend. Wind was estimated to be between 15 and 18 knots. A
little dusty, but good fun all the same.
